Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what you may not do with our hosting and related services. It exists to keep our infrastructure safe and available for every customer on it.

Prohibited content and activity

• Anything unlawful in Canada or in the jurisdiction the content targets.
• Child sexual abuse material. This results in immediate termination and a report to the authorities, with no notice period.
• Malware, phishing pages, credential harvesting, or command-and-control infrastructure.
• Unsolicited bulk email, or hosting sites advertised by spam sent elsewhere.
• Infringement of copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.
• Harassment, threats, doxxing, or content inciting violence against any person or group.
• Attempts to gain unauthorised access to any system, whether ours or a third party’s.
• Cryptocurrency mining, or any process deliberately consuming disproportionate shared resources.
• Open mail relays, proxies or anonymisation services that facilitate abuse.

Resource use

Plans described as “unlimited” are for normal website use. They are not a licence to operate file distribution, backup warehousing or media streaming services. Where a site’s resource use degrades service for others, we will contact you to agree a plan that fits, and will only restrict the service if that conversation does not resolve it.

Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse to abuse@10mb.com with enough detail for us to identify the material. We investigate every report.

How we enforce it

Where we can, we contact you first and give you a reasonable opportunity to fix the problem. Where content is plainly illegal, or where leaving it up would put other customers at risk, we act immediately and tell you afterwards.
